numenUmo
[No AI was used for the Assets]
You awaken at a wooden table opposite a mysterious croupier. Your task seems simple: play your cards, maintain your Purity, and survive the plague consuming the city. But the numbers do not add up.
Build and evolve your deck, manipulate your purity, collect strange Blessings, endure disruptive Omens, and uncover forbidden Apocrypha hidden throughout your runs. Cards remember what you have done. The table reacts to your choices. And with every successful run, the chains beneath you grow a little louder.
NumenUmo is a dark, narrative-driven deckbuilding experience inspired by medieval Florence, plague folklore, religious paranoia and historical financial collapse, wrapped in psychological and meta horror.

The vibe gave me such an unsettling feeling, I was on edge the entire time! I loved the art style, it reminded me a bit of Inscryption. I was a bit confused at the start about what to do and was just randomly picking cards. Then I realized I needed to get my purity up. Once I got the corpse card, I was stacking those like crazy and got crushed by my own purity at 20k hahaha. I love the lore-building through the cards, their characters, and the dialogue around the edges of the screen made me feel like something bad was going to happen. The ambience was really good too; it had me continuously expecting a jumpscare! (I found the charm/blessing “Find the Light” but died before I could figure out what to do with it, time to replay the game)
Great game, really polished! I'm still gonna stack those corpse cards for max purity though. It was so satisfying crushing my opponent with 10000+ purity and the increased damage charm, they didn't stand a chance! I wiped the floor with them buhahahaha! In the end, it was my own purity that defeated me. XD
Thank you very much for your feedback! Yeah i love Inscryption and i wanted to try a new experience like this, glad you liked it!
I hate jumpscares and i try not to code them into my games. My goal is to 'scare' with atmpsphere with the music and such. And yeah, there is a 'mystery' with the light, it's short but it's something you won't expect haha.
Yeah you're right, but the goal here is the balance, keep that in mind! (And the colored purity value above your figurine)
